Where and how to get help#

This course is challenging, particularly because of the heavy math content involved! You have the best chance of success in the course if you come and ask for help early and often, and the instructor and TA are both ready and willing to do that! So, if you’re feeling stuck, here’s some places to go:

  • Videos: We have a large collection of videos on the D2L website. Start by finding a video on the topic you need to see if it can answer your question.

  • Textbook: This course largely follows the textbook, so find the relevant section to read.

  • Office hours: Both Dr Munch and the TA will be holding regular office hours, which are listed below. Stop by to ask questions, but please note that walking in with an opening sentence like “teach me everything” won’t get you very far. The more specific your questions (e.g. “Here is what I did on this homework problem, what is wrong?” or “I understand Blah and Blah about topic X, but I don’t understand Blabbityblah. Can you explain it to me?”) the better the help we can provide.
