Weekly 3x3 Updates
Email due to instructors every Monday we have class (except the first class day).
Weekly Requirement
Each week you complete:
- An individual 3x3 shared with your team
- A team 3x3 sent to instructors
The goal is communication and alignment, not just status reporting.
3x3 Format
A 3x3 has exactly three sections with exactly three bullets each:
- Accomplishments since last week
- Active challenges/questions/concerns
- Plans for next week
Exactly three bullets per section is required.
Individual 3x3 (Team-Level)
Use your individual 3x3 to surface your perspective, including challenges that others may not see yet.
Save each weekly update in your team folder under a consistent per-person file.
Team 3x3 (Instructor-Level)
The team 3x3 is a synthesis, not a copy-paste summary.
Focus on:
- team alignment
- differences in perspective
- questions where instructor support is needed
Send the team 3x3 as formatted email text (not an attachment).
Why We Use This
3x3s help teams communicate early, identify issues before they grow, and maintain clear weekly planning habits.
