Smart Exploration & Experimentation - Intelligent Navigation of Systems, Innovation and Generative High-Performance Tools (SEE-Insight)

SEE-Insight is a VIP team focused on the development of computational tools to accelerate scientific exploration. Our mission is to empower researchers by creating intelligent systems that support discovery across a wide range of scientific domains. We aim to reduce the time and effort required for exploratory analysis by leveraging cutting-edge computational techniques.

Preferred Interests and Preparation

The SEE-Insight team welcome students from all academic backgrounds and levels of experience. We try to promote a collaborative and exploratory environment where curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn are the most valuable assets.

Whether you’re passionate about coding, data analysis, scientific research, design, communication, or something entirely different, we believe there’s a meaningful project for you on our team.

During the first semester (Spring 2026), our focus will be on establishing a strong foundation for a long-term VIP team. We seek students who are independent, self-motivated, and comfortable experimenting in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Useful preparation might include:

  • Interest in scientific exploration and problem-solving
  • Openness to working with computational tools and learning new technologies
  • Experience or coursework in areas like programming, machine learning, or data science (helpful but not required)
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to a diverse and interdisciplanry team
