In-Class Assignment: DTTD Cleaning
Agenda (80 Minutes)
- (5 minutes) Lessions learned from Pull request experiment
- (30 minutes) DTTD Cleaning
- (25 minutes) Class Review of DTTD
- (20 minutes) Group work
1. Lessions learned from Pull request experiment
- Doing 60 pull requests at the same time is hard.
- Make sure you include the issue number in the pull request so it get’s automatically resolved.
- Make sure you actually commit things to the branch and push the branch for the pull request.
- Make meaningful branch names. Your user name is not that helpful.
2. DTTD Cleaning
I would like to use the time today to clean out the rest of the issues and verify everything is working in the current repository.
Individual Goals
- Review the issue you submitted. Was it fixed? Is it closed? If not, why?
- Review the pull request you submitted. Did it get merged into the repository? If not, does it need to be?
Class Goals
- Clean out all of the issues except the open ones that can not immediatly be addressed.
- Merge any new pull requests that are generated.
- Verify all of the tutoirals are working as expected.
3. Class Review of DTTD
As a class we will review the cleaned and updated repostiory. With a final check of the issues and the pull requests.
4. Group Work
Use the remaining of the hour to do group work.
