QSIDE Datathon for Justice

50 points

Data4Justist Flyer

Michigan State University and the Department of Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering (CMSE) has partnered with the QSIDE Institute which uses data science for a wide variety of projects.

For this assignment you are invited to participate in the QSIDE Datathon4justice event on October 22-24. This is a big virtual “hack-a-thon” style event that requires a big time commitment, however, the projects is looking for volunteers at all levels and if you do volunteer for the event I will give you 50 points towards your final grade.

To get credit for this activity you must do the following:

  1. Register for the event on the QSIDE Website. NOTE: Registration closes on October 8th, 2021.
  2. Send me an email letting me know you want to join the MSU Data4Justist Team
  3. Attend the weekend event on October 22-24th.

Note, If we get enough people signed up (this and other classes) I am going to try to arrange an in-person event with food snacks and maybe even prizes.
